Both job-site finish and pre-finish floors are available. Job-site finish give you more options with stain color and finish shine; while pre-finish floor installation will have less machine noise, dust, and no dry time; but, your stain colors are more limited. Finishes

Sealers and finishes seals the wood help to protect the floor. There are different sheens in the finish coat: gloss, semi-gloss, and matt. Gloss finishes tend to show scratches more easily, where matt finishes camouflage surfaces scratches better.
